You Can't Let Malware Slow Down Business Growth
In today’s world of connected devices and aggressive ransomware, computer security products are essential for keeping your data and devices safe. Nearly all security products come with a long list of add-on features that you can purchase if you need them; since they are all subscription based it’s important to get what you need but not buy additional services you don’t need.
Don’t assume you can trust the software that may have been included with your computer or built into the operating system. That software may work fine for some users but may not work at all for you.
Here are three security products currently on our radar.
Norton 360 Standard
Norton’s roots in the antivirus business date back to 1989, and they have remained a forerunner in the industry. Norton wins awards every year and is considered one of the most reliable antivirus products available.
Norton 360 Standard runs about $40 per device for the first year. At this level it provides real-time threat protection for your computer, phone or tablet, monitoring and notification if your information was found in a data breach, a password manager to help you use and remember more complex passwords to keep your online accounts safer, and 10GB of secure online storage as a safe place to store documents and protect them from ransomware.
TotalAV Total Security
A relative newcomer in the industry, TotalAV provides a full range of security features, but wraps it up in one of the easiest and most user-friendly antivirus packages on the market.
TotalAV Total Security runs about $60 for the first year. Their list of services for this price is similar to Norton’s, but provides protection for up to 6 of your devices.
Trend Micro Worry-Free Business Security Advanced
If you’re looking to take the next step in anti-virus protection at a reasonable price, Trend Micro offers Worry-Free Business Security products. Worry-Free Advanced provides protection for PCs and servers. In addition to performing malware scans on your computer files, Worry-Free Advanced will scan Exchange Server for malware files in your email system.
This product also includes spam filtering (for hosted email as well as Exchange Server) and the ability to restrict access to specific websites. And it has a console application to provide a central point for managing your protection. Trend Micro Worry-Free Business Security Advanced is a good solution for businesses with small computer networks.
Trend Micro Worry-Free Business Security Advanced runs $75 per device per year.
