The Society for Information Management Recognized David Kocs for Outstanding Leadership In Information Technology
ST. LOUIS, MO (Dec. 5, 2011) – David Kocs, a founder of St. Louis-based TDK Technologies, LLC, received the Leader of the Year Award at this year’s Society for Information Management (SIM) national conference. David was one of four members to receive the prestigious award recognizing service to SIM and advancement of SIM participation among members of the IT community.
David is a founder of the St. Louis chapter of SIM and currently serves on the chapter's board. He was the President of the St. Louis Chapter in 2005, and under his leadership, the chapter grew to more than 100 members. His contributions to SIM and the St. Louis chapter include his leadership of the annual Gateway to Innovation regional technology event, which drew more than 800 participants last year.
“Without the Society for Information Management, we would not be able to participate in such a high level of IT knowledge exchange, thought-leadership, and sharing of best practices,” said Kocs. “My contributions to the organization are outweighed by the benefits TDK receives from our membership. The networking and professional development opportunities SIM offers IT professionals are invaluable. I am honored to receive this award.”
David is currently a Principal in TDK Technologies, LLC, which he helped found in April 2001.
